Covering Immigrants and Immigration

A panel discussion held Oct. 24, 2007, at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

With debate over immigration roiling America, what stories are being told — and what stories overlooked?  Do immigrant communities' voices get heard?  What special challenges confront journalists covering the daily lives of immigrants and refugees?
